Patient Financial Services Specialist
1. Ability to effectively communicate well with patients, co-workers, and other management.

2. Must possess a good work ethic.

3. Responsible for balancing, posting, depositing, and reporting payments received daily.

4. Responsible for posting adjustments daily according to hospital policy.

5. Ability to promptly assist patients with billing and insurance related questions.

6. Responsible for review of accounts aging to bad debt and timely submission of those accounts to collection agency.

7. Responsible for review of affidavits received from collection agency, signature, and return in a timely manner.

8. Responsible for responding to requests for information from collection agency in a timely manner.

9. Responsible for timely review and response of TruBridge situations/work queues.

10. Responsible for timely review and response of Trilogy requests, including daily work of tickler file within EMR system.

11. Ability to foster a collaborative environment for teamwork within the department and with other departments/services.

12. Responsible for organizing the storage, archiving, retrieval, and destruction of all Hospital billing and collections records; ensuring compliance with local, state, and Federal regulations.

13. Ability to effectively and consistently deliver excellent customer service.

14. Assist in ensuring providers are accurately enrolled/linked with necessary insurance carriers in a timely manner for reimbursement.

15. Assist in ensuring the hospital and clinic reimbursement contracts with all necessary insurances are maintained in an organized manner in order to ensure maximum reimbursement and prompt renewals.
16. Responsible for timely completion of Accounts Receivable month end close.
17. Responsible for timely completion of monthly Contract Billing processes.
18. Responsible for timely completion of monthly Recurring Billing processes.
19. Responsible for timely completion of annual Medicare bad debt file for cost reporting.

20. All other duties as assigned
