Psych APRN
Job Summary:
The Psych APRN is part of the primary care team and under the supervision of the Practice Administrator and the RHC Medical Director. The Psych APRN Provider’s primary purpose will be to work in conjunction with the health services within the RHC, the LCSW, behavioral health case manager, etc., in order to provide outpatient and limited residential care to children, adolescents, adults and families in order to improve mental health functioning and overall health outcomes. The Psych APRN will diagnose, conduct exams, and prescribe mediations to patients presenting psychiatric-mental health problems. This position demands the ability to interact with federal, state, and local agencies in order to maximize resources, and to coordinate program development goals. The Psych APRN Provider is involved in continuous quality improvement practices and measures as set by DMH/DHS and in which the practice focus is based on a Patient Centered Medical Home model of care.
