Chief Executive Officer
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
(The following duties and responsibilities are all essential job functions, as defined by the ADA, except for those that begin with the word “May”.) Possible Exposure to Bloodborne Pathogens is indicated by a “#”

- Carrying out all policies established by the Board of Directors and advising on the formation of these policies;
- Developing and submitting to the Board of Directors for approval a plan of organization for the conduct of hospital operation and recommended changes when necessary;
- Preparing an annual budget showing the expected revenue and expenditures as required by the Board of Directors or its Finance or Executive Committees.
- Selecting, employing, controlling, and discharging hospital employees and developing and maintaining personnel policies and practices;
- Maintaining physical properties in a good and safe state of repair and operating condition;
- Supervising business affairs to ensure that funds are collected and expended to the best possible advantage;
- Working continually with other healthcare professionals to the end that high quality care may be rendered to patients at all times;
- Presenting to the Board of Directors, or its authorized committee, periodic reports reflecting the professional services and financial activities of the hospital and such special reports as may be required by the Board of Directors;
- Attending all meetings of the Board of Directors and service on committees thereof;
- Serving as the liaison and channel of communications between the Board of Directors and any of its committees and the medical staff, and assisting the medical staff with its organization and medical- administrative problems and responsibilities;
- Preparing a plan for the achievement of the hospital’s specific objectives, and periodically reviewing and evaluating that plan;
- Representing the hospital in its relationships with other health agencies; and
- Performing all other duties that may be necessary or in the best interest of the hospital.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS: DESCRIPTION
1. EDUCATION Master’s degree in hospital administration preferred, Bachelor’s degree in administration or other healthcare related field required.

2. LICENSURE

None.
3. EXPERIENCE Prior experience as an administrator of a hospital of comparable size for a period of three (3) years, or prior experience as an assistant administrator of a hospital of comparable size or larger for a period of five (5) years.

4. SKILLS
In-depth and up-to-date knowledge of hospital administration, knowledge of the healthcare field, as well as refined managerial skills.

5. INTERPERSONAL SKILLS
Verbal, quantitative and interpersonal skills.

6. PHYSICAL EFFORT
Requires finger dexterity, eye/hand coordination and full range of body motion including the ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, push, pull and grasp items and stand and walk for extensive periods of time; the ability to lift and move equipment/supplies (0-25 pounds) with proper technique and accessories. Requires corrected vision and hearing in normal range.

7. HOURS OF WORK
Generally Monday-Friday with extended hours as needed.

8. HAZARDS
Exposure to chemicals, machinery, and bloodborne Pathogens that requires the use of personal protective equipment, i.e., masks, gowns, & gloves.

Position Type : Full Time
Shift : Day
Salary: $150,000.00 to $210,000.00 per year
